Need help with odd blurry text in some apps

For a long while now, certain apps will display a temporary blurry effect when the app is opened, focus is lost/gained, or info on the app changes.

The apps that generally display this issue is :

    LOOT
The entire text is always blurry when opening the app.

    Vortex
The entire text is sometimes blurry when opening the app.

Interesting, I have not run into anything like that before.

Let's start with this: Type "blurry" into search. You should see a link to "Fix apps that are blurry". Try looking at that to see if it helps at all.

If not, post back and I'll see what else I can find.

Thx for response, I searched and found some articles (they didn't seem to be addressing my issue) but I tried several suggestions that I've tried before (changing DPI, Scaling, ClearType, etc.) to no avail. If you have any other sugegstions, I'd like to hear them.

I'm not familiar with either of those apps, but out of curiousity, do the web sites for those apps have any sort of support or forums? Are other people reporting the same problems with those apps?

In the meantime, I'm a bit stumped. I'll research further but in the meantime hopefully some others will have other ideas.

    A couple of questions, however:

Is this a high DPI display, such as a 15 inch 4K laptop display? If so, try this - and you may have already tried this. Right-click a shortcut for the program > Properties > select the Compatibility tab > Change high DPI settings > High DPI scaling override > Override high DPI scaling behavior. Try the various settings. The one that usually works best for me is "System".

    Edit:

What about display drivers? Anything out of the ordinary such as really old display drivers?

I'll check on those apps to see about contacting support.

My monitor : ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q
and yes, I've tried many combinations of changing the DPI and such on the compatibility tab.

One option: Right-click the short-cut to your LOOT program, click Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and click "Run compatibility troubleshooter".

Another option: Open display settings, scale it to 125%, and restart your computer.

    Might not help much,

Find the .exe file for the affected program then experiment with the various dpi settings applied to the ,exe file

You need to be more specific...as I've previously mentioned I've tried various DPI changes.

    Hello.

I know this is an old thread, but you aren't by any chance using gforce drivers are/were you? Because I have the exact same issues as you ( just some windows apps, not all - Messenger, Tidal and Logitech GHub, mainly) - I get those graphical issues, including text "dissolving" on mouse hover. II'm sure it's some driver settings messing with them.. Have you found a solution for your problem?

    Thanks a lot
