cancel the effect of Windows upgrade on Command prompt window size

Before the upgrade to v1909, a batch file that would save a spreadsheet to two locations, then close Excel, used to open a 'DOS' window that was unobtrusively small. Now, the window stretches from the bottom to the top of the screen. It does not last long enough for me to resize it (in the expectation that windows would remember). What can I do to restore it to a merely sufficiently large size ?

If you want to resize Command Prompt window launch by batch script add this Mode CON LINES=11 COLS=95 command to start of your batch script and change the Lines and Cols to your desired window size.

Indeed that works - thank you very much.

I can not find in this thread, the option to mark my problem as SOLVED.

"MARK AS SOLVED" stared me in the face when I read your last post. Well, it did NOT do that, when I said I could not find it.
