how to automatically change windows power plan ?

I found only how to change this upon program launch using task sheduler, but after i close program i want to change it back to balanced. I didn't find any program, or way how to do this automatically. Which is strange, one would think they would want people save energy for environmental reasons, that this isn't already implemented in windows. Process lasso can change this, but can't restore it to the default, after you close program...

    Hello empleat,

I'm not sure how to go about this to have the power plan automatically change, but if you like as a workaround for now, the tutorial below can add a Choose Power Plan context menu to your desktop to make it easy to directly change your power plan on demand.

'Choose Power Plan' context menu - Add in Windows 10

I don't think that there's a standard event that triggers whenever an application closes. But you can create such an event yourself, and then set up Task Scheduler to trigger on that event whenever it occurs.

First this isn't most efficient way, as you need to do it for every application individually.

I successfully created event in eventlog, but it doesn't log anything upon application launch or exit. I tried put as source icon name, or name from task manager which is different. Both doesn't work. Also i would need different entry for launch and exit. I am not expert on console and cmdlets, i have no idea why it doesn't work. I read that article and there is nothing else.

I though there must be some program to do this, didn't find anything yet. I found one which could change it only to high performance, which is useless, otherwise i found nothing... It is weird, people are forced to have cpu at 100% at all times, it wastes so much power, windows should does this by default, it is not like it is 2005...
