Windows 1909 and before.
Issue:
When I try to create a new folder in File Explorer I can only type one letter then File Explorer acts like I pressed enter. For example
if I Create a try to creater called "jerry06 File Explorer will only let me create a folder called "j"
The work around I have is to rename the folder.
Try booting into safe mode and see if the same issue happens there. If not, boot normally, open task manager, goto the startup tab and start disabling things to see if you can determine what may be causing the issue. You may also want to look at running services and review any non-Microsoft services to see if there is anything suspect there. You can do this by running msconfig, goto the services tab, check the box "Hide all Microsoft services".
