Make Win+D only affect one screen

I'm often using a secondary monitor (for music etc. while gaming) with my laptop and I'll often use Win+D to show the desktop. However, it will minimize all windows on both screens, even though doing so on the second one is unnecessary (no notification area/desktop icons).
Is there some hidden setting or (more likely) third-party utility that makes Win+D only affect the currently selected screen (depending on the highlighted window/mouse cursor)? I wasn't able to find anything online, but maybe some of you might help me!

None that I've ever heard off. I use the bottom right corner of the Taskbar. I click in it to minimize all windows which shows an empty Desktop. Click it again to restore windows.

Well, this doesn't change anything. Still minimizes all windows, not just the ones on the current screen.

One can hover over the bar mentioned by Ztruker to momentarily view the desktop and all the icons on it, it's called Peek, part of Taskbar settings and can be toggled On or Off when right-clicking the Taskbar then in Notification area section.
