new W10 desktop; missing cc emails

I just set up Mail for my Hotmail account on a new Win 10 all-in-one desktop. I still have my old Win 7 computer running Live. On the old machine I have emails which do not show up on the new computer. For instance: in my inbox on the old computer I have an email sent 11/11. I am not the primary recipient, but I am on the small cc list. I cannot see this email on the new computer. However if I search my (new) inbox for the sender's email address, it shows up, saying it found it in my inbox. I tried turning off "focused/other" and turning off sync, then back on. Any ideas?

If you are using Live Mail on 7 and Mail app on 10, those emails stored locally on each computer cannot be accessed unless stored back on the email server. Even with IMAP, locally stored emails are not available. Suggest exporting everything from the 7 machine for contacts and emails and import to the 10 machine.

I believe the emails ARE on the server, because I can find them on the new machine by searching on the sender's address. (I can also find them by searching on "11/11/2019".) The only thing that seems odd is that I am not the primary recipient; I am a "cc".

It can happen. Just log into your webmail account and send those emails to yourself. The very restrictive email apps and such that Microsoft offers has limitations and that it is always best to use something like Thunderbird or Outlook.

I figured it out. The issue was not that the missing emails were CCs. It was that they were a part of a conversation, so they showed up with the rest of the conversation, and not in date order. I changed the setting, and now they show up in date order.
