    Boot Up Error Message

I was running Avast free and have gone to Bitdefender. I ran the Avastclear program to totally uninstall Avast. Now when I boot my computer it keeps asking what operating system I want to run. Does anyone know how to make it go to a straight Win 10 boot like before? Also, I tried doing a system restore but of course that didn't work (twice). Thanks in advance

Apparently when you run Avast Clear, the final step is to boot to Avast Clear in Safe Mode to complete the removal. Try selecting Avast at boot and see if it removes itself from the boot options.

Did you run Avast Clear, choose the option to boot to safe mode to run Avast Clear
If so, when the system boots, select Avast Clear as the boot option so it can finish rem removal process.
'Avast Clear' shows up as an Operating System in Windows 10 (help?)

If the boot option remains after that, you can delete the boot option by running msconfig then on the Boot tab select the Avast entry and click the Delete button.

Thank you, Thank you Bree. I tried the boot into the avast but it just took me into Safe Mode. I then did as you said and went into Msconfig and deleted it and everything is back to normal. Again, Thank you very much for your help. CC
