    Hello All,
Making my first post here in W10 Forums. Currently on W7 Home Prem SP1 and looking to (finally) upgrade to 10. Been putting it off as long as possible but technology changes and so must your OS with it. I am interested in any suggestions that you all might have in prepping my current machine for a smooth upgrade. My specs are listed if anyone would like to take a look. I am running a factory COA Win7 64bit install and will be upgrading to W10 Home 64 V1909 via DVD. Just looking for any pitfalls to avoid. I understand that a completely flawless upgrade is probably not truly possible but hey, one can hope! Thanks in advance!

Welcome to W10F. First thing to do is to get rid of any antivirus and resident antimalware programs. Also check for driver compatibility.

Hello, I am dotolive, or DOT I am retired and I do not have any expertise in working with computers as far as fixing problems. I am an expert at googling my issues, which has lead me to some very strange NOT solutions to my problems. I might be just the nightmare most of you guys hate to see coming. I promise to take it easy on you and I do appreciate any help I can get .Back when life was so simple with Windows X, I knew my way around most issues, no problem, and would spend most workdays fixing other people's problems. Technology has slowly out-grown me So I am forced to reach out to others for help. While I am retired, I still use my computer a LOT and need help in solving problems. I do hope you all will be patient with me and my issues and welcome me to your group. (Me and my questions! :)

Because I'm told I'm up to date? Best reason I can think of, Rahul.
