Are you signed in correctly? In a command prompt window, enter
    Code:
    whoami
and check that it reports your username correctly
    - the output is in the form ComputerName\UserName

Hi guys no i did not accidentally put the computer into the Tablet. and yes when i saw the problem i had a look at the settings and the computer was in the tablet mode but i did not select it.
When i deselected the tablet mode the start screen returned to normal just with the missing tiles

    My build is
    (1903 build 18362.476) should i have version 1909
Try going to Windows Update and clicking on 'check for updates' - it should be offered to you as an optional update that you have to agree to before it will download and update. It might be billed as 'feature update to 1909' (I don't know, because I got mine weeks before it was released via Insiders). Even if it's billed as a 'feature update', it's still delivered as a very small KB item - as I understand it, just a bit of code to flip a switch to enable the (very) few new features, and to change the version from 1903 to 1909 (and the build to 19363.476).

Thanks for the reply. You had not mentioned before that you noticed the Tablet Mode was on and corrected it. That's why I mentioned it. Glad to see it's normal, except for some missing tiles. Least the Tablet part is resolved.
