What registry key contains taskbar height

I like my Win10 taskbar to be 3 rows high (3 rows of icons). Every time a Windows Update is applied, the height of the taskbar reverts to 1 row high.

This is only one of many settings that gets reverted back to some default value. I change several settings related to desktop icon fonts (which also affects the size of the font in File Explorer and other apps) and mouse pointer size and mouse behavior.

I have found the registry keys that contain these settings, and I've exported those branches to REG files that I can click on after an update and restore my favorite mouse and font settings.

I would like to do the same with the registry key that controls the height of the taskbar so I can just click it to restore my favorite taskbar height after an update. Does anyone know the registry key for taskbar height?

ALSO, is it possible to consolidate these separate REG files to one REG file?

What about just trying this ? It worked for me.

Change the Size of the Taskbar
You can also resize the taskbar to get a little additional space. This can be particularly handy if you moved it to the right or left edge of your screen, but it’s also good if you just want space for loads of icons. Right-click the taskbar and turn off the “Lock the taskbar” option. Then place your mouse at the top edge of the taskbar and drag to resize it just like you would with a window. You can increase the size of the taskbar up to about half your screen size.

    Taskbar size registry key

Thanks for your reply, but that's not what I asked. Please refer to the title of my original post.

I have already resized the taskbar to the size that works for me.

What I am looking for is a way to restore that setting by exporting the registry branch to a REG file.

    Thanks

    Thanks, Try3.

I've downloaded the RegShot app and will give it a trial to see if I can isolate the registry keys that change when I reset the taskbar size.

Can you tell me if I can consolidate all the separate REG files into one file to click to change everything I want to change?

Still trying to find registry key for taskbar height

I tried using RegShot to find the registry key for taskbar height, but struck out.

The results of the before and after scan turned up more than 100 changes/deletions/additions but there was only one that even had the word "taskbar" in it. I exported that key to a REG file, but merging that REG file into the registry did not change back the taskbar to the correct height.

    Still ISO answers. Anybody??

    Thanks In Advance

Try those 2, but most likely it is much more. Besides some settings are not stored only in registry but in dll files, especially shell related, so you might want to monitor file changes too.

I did try the two keys you highlighted. Neither was the one that held the taskbar height setting.

There was too many other variables to make it feasable to include the setting in my "restore settings" REG file. I'll just take the 2 seconds it takes to change the taskbar height manually every time it gets changed

    Thanks for your help.
