How do I enter BIOS setup - Acer Computer

User guide says to press F2 when the ACER logo appears. The ACER logo doesn't appear at boot. I've tried pressing F2 anyway but no biios screen. Also tried F12, F10, and Del.at boot. Part of my sysinfo is:

    • System Name ACER_DESKTOP
    • System Manufacturer Acer
    • System Model Predator G3-605
    • System Type x64-based PC System SKU

    • BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. P11-C1, 9/12/2014
    • SMBIOS Version 2.7 Embedded Controller Version 255.255
    • BIOS Mode UEFI
    • BaseBoard Manufacturer
    • Acer BaseBoard Model Not Available BaseBoard Name Base Board Platform Role Desktop

Make sure you are clicking on Restart from the shutdown menu in Windows 10. If fast startup in Windows 10 is enabled and you do a regular shutdown, the fast startup will interfere with your ability to enter BIOS when you power on again. Clicking on Restart and then trying function keys at restart bypasses Windows fast start-up.

You can also hold down Shift Key when clicking on Shutdown which will bypass fast startup on the next power on.

Also, you may need to press Fn + the function key.

    And there is also this:

Use NavyLCDR's suggestion to Restart in order to avoid Fast Startup preventing you from entering the bios.

The Del key seems to be to one you need...

    Strictly FYI -

I agree with NavyLCDR's suggestion, too.

    BIOS Keys by Manufacturer

Here's a list of common BIOS keys by brand. Depending on the age of your model, the key may be different.

    • ASRock: F2 or DEL
    • ASUS: F2 for all PCs, F2 or DEL for Motherboards
    • Acer: F2 or DEL
    • Dell: F2 or F12
    • ECS: DEL
    • Gigabyte / Aorus: F2 or DEL
    • HP: F10
    • Lenovo (Consumer Laptops): F2 or Fn + F2
    • Lenovo (Desktops): F1
    • Lenovo (ThinkPads): Enter then F1.
    • MSI: DEL for motherboards and PCs
    • Microsoft Surface Tablets: Press and hold volume up button.
    • Origin PC: F2
    • Samsung: F2
    • Toshiba: F2
    • Zotac: DEL

None of the above works for me.

    1. Repeatedly hitting the Del key causes the computer to hang without going into BIOS or Windows, From here I need to shut down using the power button.

    2. Using the method to enter BIOS from Windows does the same as the repeated Del key presses. Computer hangs necessitating power button to shut down/restart

    3. Allowing the computer to boot without intervention allows entry into Windows. There is a short blip on boot:
    "1. Auto Detect
    Entering Power Save"
And then the computer continues to boot. The ACER logo never appears. (I think the Auto Detect message may have something to do with my monitor)

The Users Guide says specifically to use the F2 key to enter BIOS Setup. Probably the most useless Users Guide I've ever seen by the way

First, disable Fast Startup: How to Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10
    Shutdown.
    Power on.
Start tapping F2 every second or so until you get the BIOS screen.

The Users Guide did not mention anything about UEFI so this is probably a BIOS system.

How long exactly does it hang?

Forever - or at least until I hit the power button for a hard off. Then hit again to start.

I've let it hang for a half-hour or so.
