Create a desktop shortcut to start a Windows 10 Process

I'm having a problem with the Windows' "Spooler SubSystem App" (spoolsv.exe) on one of my PCs and I've set its startup type in the services control panel to "manual". I almost never print from that PC and it is not connected directly to any printers so I don't anticipate this being a problem, but I would like to be able to start that service easily if I should find I need it. So I'm thinking a desktop shortcut would come in handy. The only problem I'm having is I haven't been able to find instructions on how to create that shortcut (or if it's even possible).

If anyone can point me to a website with instructions or post them here I'd appreciate it.

For Option 2, which is probably the simplest method overall, you would write out the necessary SC command in a batch file and then put a shortcut to that batch file on your desktop or some other convenient location.

All you need is create a file in notepad all you need is net start servicename or net stop servicename save a .cmd file ie spull.cmd
Click to run if you dont print a lot you dont need to turn it set it to print direct not spooler

If the printer shows in your network, you can right click it and send it to your desktop.

Just make a shortcut conating these commands and set the shortcut to run as admin:

    sc stop spoolsv
    sc start spoolsv

The service needs to be stoppable for this to work
