Control key zooms and Start menu scrolling issue

I've got an ASUS ROG GL502VV DB71 laptop with Windows 10 Home 64 bit. I believe this happened after the latest Windows update!
1 - Anytime I press my Control key my screen zooms in and it never did that before. I can’t press Control-c or Control-v or Control-Alt-Del without the screen zooming in!
2 - My scroll wheel doesn't work correctly in the Start menu. I can scroll down but it quickly scrolls back up by itself unless I move my cursor off the Start menu. When I move the cursor off the menu, it stays there --- otherwise it scrolls back up by itself. Same with the settings menu but works correctly in Word and other screens such as in my Firefox browser. I’ve reset the mouse to “on” (even though it was already "on") in the Settings/Devices/ Mouse/Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them – but that didn’t fix the scrolling issue.
3 - I’ve tried the Windows help page but in the "Windows Version" window to choose a Windows version -- when I click in the window, it briefly opens the options below but quickly closes by itself. It won't stay open for me to make a choice. Same with any other “choice”window. Therefore I can’t send the question on the Windows help page.
I’ve tried to roll back the latest update and also tried the “Repair” option. I’ve also tried to reset my computer but it wanted to uninstall a number of installed programs I’ve been using successfully for years.
Nothing helped. How do I fix these issues! Thanks in advance!

First thing I'd do is shut the computer down by whatever means possible, pull the power cord out of the back, remove a Laptop/Notebook battery and let it set for awhile, about 30 seconds or so, to 'normalize' things. Then I'd use compressed air to blow any cookie/toast crumbs out of the keyboard. Then plug it back in and try again.

Also -- I forgot to mention -- I have a Logitech M720 Triathlon bluetooth mouse -- if that makes any difference.

OK -- I unplugged and let it sit for about an hour -- then blew out the keyboard and rebooted and it didn't help! Also -- both Control keys zoom the screen!

Do you have any other suggestions?

I got on an independent Microsoft help page and he asked the same question. I didn't know if the mousse had a reset button so he said to shut the mouse off and take the battery out. Then to reboot the laptop and put the battery back into the mouse, turn it on and see if that fixed the issue. It didn't!
My wife gave me a travel mouse of hers so I shut my Logitech mouse off and plugged in her travel mouse -- and everything worked fine -- except the keyboard.
Now -- pressing the Windows key + Brighter or Dimmer etc. works but I can’t type anything! In device manager, my “ASUS Number Pad” had the yellow caution flag and Properties said: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configured information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged (Code 19)".
One of the help pages said to uninstall the device then to reinstall. So I uninstalled the "ASUS Number Pad" and now can’t find it to reinstall!
How do I find it in order to reinstall?
By the way -- I'm typing this from another computer!

OK -- I clicked "See hidden devices" and found it. I clicked update driver and the yellow warning sign is still there. Now what can I do?

Also found this on teh ROG site: Go to device manager expand keyboards, right click ASUS NUMPAD press "update driver". Choose browse my computer, then let me pick from a list. Chose the HID Keyboard Device.
