Laptop with Windows 10 keeps crashing

Laptop with Windows 10 keeps crashing sometimes due to Chrome and sometimes due to Windows 10. Have with advance restore removed last features update; deleted driver updates from suspect driver scanner; checked video drivers and they have latest versions. In addition, downloaded and ran latest version Ccleaner Lite to clean registry.

deleted driver updates from suspect driver scanner
You do not need any 3rd party apps to download drivers. All drivers are free from the computer/motherboard manufacturers Download site for your model. Please Uninstall this software. Go into the Device Manager, if there are no yellow marks next to devices, you do not need drivers, unless the device is not working correctly.
If this just started happening, you can do a System Restore to a time before this happened.
You can also try a Clean Boot, if this works, you can keep it this way, or if you want to find out what is causing it, add one Startup or Service item at a time, until the computer crashes. Then you will know the culprit.

If the problem is not a driver, maybe you should try Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade.

As a general rule, try to avoid registry cleaners. The advantage you get (a few MB disk space) is not worth the trouble you might end up with.

    keeps crashing
Hardware? Software? We've no idea- so without some idea it's guesswork and recommendations may be totally inappropriate.

Please state what sort of crash you observe. E.g.
    - suddenly powers down (switches off).
    - BSOD
    - error message - if so, what?
    - other

What does your Reliability History report? (Explore any red x's). Are particular programs reported as crashing or something else?

    Does it crash
    - in Safe Mode
    - after a clean boot?

Have you checked your disk - e.g. HD Tune (free) Health and Error scan tabs?

    If that's ok, run
    chkdsk c: /scan
from an admin command or Powershell prompt and report the summary result.

Please use the log collector used in the BSOD reporting section of this forum and upload the result.

If the crashes are driver related, try
Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10

History: when was the last time it didn't crash? What happened just after that? (Power failure, upgrade, installation, cat walked on keyboard....)

    I stand corrected!
    That's a great crash step-by-step approach!
    Thanks Dalchina.

Also try running sfc /scannow from an admin command prompt to check /fix system files

I believe the Segurazo virus was the cause of the problem. The recommended solution is to delete it in the usual way. Superficially, this appears to work. However, it is still there. I’d tried to delete its file folder with CMD as administrator. Access was denied. Finally, in safe mode, I did a search for everything containing the word , Segurazo. Every reference was deleted.
After viewing the Reliability History there were many red X’s through yesterday when I deleted Segurazo. I will keep my fingers crossed to see if my system is stable through tomorrow. They should know if the problem has been resolved.
