How can I get W10 to remember the size of a window? Eg notepad

    (Windows version number = 1903)
When I run notepad, I always have to maximise it, before I start using it.
If I then close it, then reopen it, W10 'forgets' that I've set notepad to maximised, and I have to maximise it again.
Of course, I have tried manually moving the size of the notepad window, to maximise it that way, but W10 doesn't remember this size setting either.
Thanks a lot for any comments.

    Other option to try:

    NotePad opens saved files minimized

Right click a notepad file. Choose "Open With" > tick "always use this app" then > "More Apps" "Choose another app on this PC"

    Instead use the line:

Right click a notepad file. Choose "Open With" > "Choose another app" > tick "Always use this app" then >"More Apps" "Look for another app on this PC"

Browse to notepad.cmd and select it.

Or just install DocPad (free) and use that instead:

DocPad - the completely free text editor for Windows.

    Thanks a lot.
I wonder if someone could please just add to the help so far, because I have this related issue:
I have a notepad.exe shortcut on my desktop, that "points" to a particular notepad file.
If I go in to the properties for this shortcut, I can't see where I tell W10 to open the window maximised.
    Thanks.

    Note- Run Maximised

I also see Notepad not remembering to start maximised, whereas Wordpad does.

Sorry!! I have made a mistake! It is not a shortcut, but an actual notepad file itself, eg "my document".txt
    sorry for the confusion!
