After an advanced restore a new problem

After an advanced restore a problem developed. I cannot do a restart. When the button is pressed nothing happens either using the mouse or Enter key. I am required to turn the computer off.

First. what do you mean by "advanced restore".

If you press Ctrl+Alt+Del,. there is a power button at the lower right hand corner of the screen. Does that one work or does it have the same problem.

If all else fails, press Window key + R, enter shutdown /r /f /t 0

Maybe try doing a normal restore instead of an advanced restore?

The reason why using advance restore is that normal restore was not working. The advance restore also failed due to a different application that I was able to remove. After I posted this problem I realized I could retry the advanced restore after removing the app. This was successful and the problem I had with the restart button went away. So, I am declaring the problem solved.
    Thank you for your help.
