Have you used Task Scheduler to copy files from one drive to another?
New Win10 v.1903 user with a new computer with two internal drives, C and D.
Before experimenting with this myself, has anyone had success using task scheduler to copy a file from one internal drive to another, separate internal drive? QuickBooks doesn't appear to play nice when its data files aren't residing on the same drive as the program file, and my third-party backup service will only back up one drive on their basic service tier (and it doesn't really make sense to upgrade for a few files).
As a workaround I thought perhaps Windows task scheduler could be used to automate the copying of the QuickBooks files from Drive C: to Drive D: so they would then be backed up.
Has anyone successfully copied files this way across separate drives, and if so, would you be willing to share the steps you took?
Thank you.
