Event ID 131 Metadata errors happening lately.

So I'm getting these the past couple of days recently.

Metadata staging failed, result={00000000-0000-0000-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFF} for container '0x8007000D'

Metadata staging failed, result={9C52FEAA-DABE-5636-BEC0-AFDCA171FDBD} for container '0x80070057'

Thing is that I don't know if it has to do with Microsoft or maybe my internet.

These errors happen both on my Windows 10 desktop and my Windows 8.1 laptop. Also for both of them if I go to devices and printers these errors will happen every time I bring it up? Is this happening to anyone else?

Type device installation into Start Menu click "Change device installation settings". Select No option and save setting.

Hi mate, Im always wary of changing those default settings because I want my drivers to be kept up to date.

You can download latest version of drivers from device manufacturer website.

The last time this happened the DeviceManagerSetup 131 errors completely disappeared from my event viewer after a few days without any input at all from me so I'll give it a few days to see if the issue resolves itself again. It doesn't appear to be causing any problems at all with my PC. Are those errors in Event Viewer purely cosmetic?
I probably check Event Viewer too often. Maybe I shouldn't check in there unless Im having issues. Reliability History is another one I always check every couple of days. I think its making me a bit paranoid lol

Does any device connected to your computer gives you error message?

None of the devices that I connect to the PC are giving errors and I don't have any yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager

Same here. No issues inside device manager but I am plagued by Metadata staging failed errors.

Just to update anyone else who is having this issue. For nearly a week since I did a clean installation Ive been seeing 16 DeviceManagerSetup Event ID 131 errors every time I boot up my PC. Yesterday that number reduced to 11. Ive just booted up my PC and I have only one error now. I haven't done anything at all to try and fix this because last time it resolved itself after a few days without me doing anything. My gut feeling tells me it has to be something to do with Microsoft's servers but I don't know for sure

    Update:
On patch Tuesday CU KB4524570 was automatically installed on version 1903. I now have Build 18362.476. I have the option also to download and Install 1909 feature update but I haven't done so yet. Im holding off for a couple of weeks to verify that feedback on here shows that it is stable before I upgrade to 1909.
After the CU KB4524570 installation Im now seeing no DeviceManagerSetup 131 errors at all again
