Program on Task Manager Startup tab

I wanted to disable a few startup programs and there is a program called "Program" with blank paper icon:

What is it? Could it be some sort of malware / virus?

    Thanks!

Right click on it and choose 'Open file location' or 'Properties' for more info.
Could be residual from a program that's been uninstalled.

The "Open file location" is greyed out, is there another way?

Download the rather excellent Autoruns from Sysinternals, it can show all start up items by location and Reg entry. You can also disable things that the start up tab doesn't show.

Right Click on any of the existing Column Names at the top of the columns in the
StartUp tab there are other column display choices. Select "Command Line"

    Hey Guys,
This is my first post here as I just joined, but the timing was good as I had this same unknown "program" show up in Task Manager yesterday and didn't know what to make of it. Then I came across your thread here and decided to try Topgundcp's suggestion of adding the 'command line' to the category headings and it worked (tipping the hat to Topgundcp)! The unknown program apparently belongs to Send Anywhere, which would make sense as I believe it had recently been tagged as a pup and quarantined on my system... Thanks for the help....

the “Program” file is not dangerous or needed.
the “Program” file is probably a deleted file from a software that you uninstalled before.
if you want to delete it tho, you can do this:
    first, open task manager.
    then click the “startup” tab.
then right-click one of the bars then click “Command line” and “Startup type”.
then it will show you where the file is located.
go to the file location and then delete the folder that the program file is in.
    and boom, it’s done.
if you still see the program file disable it (just in case) and don’t worry it’s actually deleted.
