    Missing Advanced Power Options

I have a new Asus Zenbook UX431 with W10x64. Stock install. Win Pro.

I only have 2 power plans:
    -'Balanced'
    -'Asus Recommended'

However, when I goto advanced power options, I only have 4 available settings: Background, Sleep, Display, and Battery (see pic)

I am missing all of the following:
    Processor power management
    -Min processor state
    -Max processor state
    -USB Selective Suspend
    -Link Management
    -Etc etc etc etc

If I create a new power plan, I still do not have any of the missing options!

I understand that W10 uses a 'power slider' and I understand that there are registry mods that can restore the missing power options 1 by 1 however I am looking for a solution that restores all of the available Advanced power options and if possible removes the power slider function.

    Welcome to Ten Forums @ridonctonc

There are a number of settings that were in previous versions of Windows but by default are not visible in Windows 10's power options. Many can be added. See these tutorials to start with...

Add or Remove Maximum Processor Frequency in Windows 10 Power Options

Add or Remove Maximum processor state from Power Options in Windows

Add Processor performance increase threshold to Windows Power Options

Add or Remove System cooling policy from Power Options in Windows

... I am looking for a solution that restores all of the available Advanced power options...

I can only suggest you download the .reg file from each tutorial, then merger them into a single .reg file with Notepad.

...and if possible removes the power slider function.
Use a plan that is NOT the 'Balanced' plan, or derived from it.

The Windows power slider is available for AMD and Intel platforms running Windows 10, build 1709 and newer builds of Windows. It is not available on devices with ARM64 processors. The slider will appear on a device only when the Balanced power plan, or any plan that is derived from Balanced, is selected. There is not an option for either users or OEMs to remove the slider UX.

Appreciate the advice however I've already added the aforementioned missing options but under "advanced options" are still another 7 to 10 that are missing...off the top of my head they are key DP control, link management, adaptive display, USB suspend, pic Express, wireless adapter

Perhaps @Brink could add tutorials for those too.

Yup and that is also what I have on all of my other win7, win8, and win10 PC's. Except my new one i.e. the subject PC in the OP. I'm really pissed. Windows is just awful. I have spent over an hour online reading dozens of posts with the same issue and not one single person has found a solution to restore all of the advanced power options

I've been touring the internet looking for a solution to restore advanced power options and I keep seeing this same reference, it might be worth a try. It simply requires changing a DWORD value of the key CsEnabled from 1 to 0.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power

I'm not certain this solution will work but it apparently has for many I read about. FYI, CsEnabled on my PC is set to 1 and I have all the options available.

As usual, backup the registry first and be cautious while making changes.

I concur with @W10 Tweaker. I just wrote a blog post about this last week: Fixing Surface Pro 3 USB Drive Drop for TechTarget (Windows Enterprise Desktop). Same general problem (Power Options settings MIA); same general solution as described therein.

I'm not sure what DP control is, but here are the others you mentioned.

Add or Remove Adaptive display from Power Options in Windows

Remove 'USB selective suspend setting' in Power Options in Windows

Remove 'Link State Power Management' in Power Options in Windows 10

Add or Remove Wireless Adapter Settings in Power Options in Windows 10
