Transferring Files And Docs Between pc and iMac ?

    Hello,

I have a W10 pc and also a desktop iMac.

Sometimes I have to transfer files or docs from one to the other.
    Driving me crazy.

Presently do it via a USB Memory stick.

Any other more straightforward ways of doing it ?
More than one possibility to consider ?

Both computers are hard wire via Ethernet to my Router.

    Thanks, appreciate the help,
    Bob

My solution was to connect a NAS [Network Attached Storage] drive to my Router via Ethernet cable. Since the Router is Wireless/Wi-Fi I can Map the Public folder on it from any computer either type connection. The brand I chose is WD/Western Digital My Cloud but there's others. And I used to also have a Mac connecting but it had hardware issues and was junked, I currently have 3 versions of Win10 and a Linux computer attached.

    What is the Mac os?
On my 10.7 (lion 32) laptop I just created a share folder and one on my Win 10 machine.
I easily grab what I need off the Win 10 .

I sometimes download dmg s on my Win 10 and just transfer them to the Mac's share folder
    with simple copy and paste.
I have run music and videos, that reside on my win 10 , on my mac just by opening the shared folder
    and clicking on them.

As thomaseg1 says you can create shares on both that will allow you to transfer files between the two. I am able to share files between all my Windows 10 PC's and my Mac Mini. I have set up the same user ID on all of them. However as I recall, there was something on the set up on the Mac that was not originally evident. You might want to check some of the sites that give instructions on how to do it.
