S/W version not displaying in Properties|Details

    S/W version not displaying in Properties|Details


    Someone just pointed out to me that you should be able to get the version of an application from the Details tab in the Properties window. Apparently, the tab is supposed to look something like this:

    Whereas mine looks like this (note that it's for the same app):

    Of course, there are several other differences, but why are there any? Thanks.

    Looks like the bottom picture is for the Shortcut, not for the program's .exe file, hence the .lnk at the end of the Name line. Also the date is for the creation of the Shortcut.

    The information in the top picture is for the executable/.exe file of the program itself.
