I can see that you are sharing those folders. Could anybody on your local network did this?

I suggest, you manually copy files and folders from Onedrive location to your drive

    It should be under

    C:\Users\Your name\Desktop
    - open this in one File Explorer window (and make a backup of it. - copy and paste to safe location)

    C:\Users\Your name\OneDrive\Desktop
    - open this in another File explorer.

Copy files and folders from Onedrive to your local desktop folder

Be careful to keep the newer files

Hi, you might have inadvertently created a virtual desktop. (Just a guess given your post). See:

I am going with Virtual Desktop also. Best feature out there for multitasking.

I'm using it also, were using it also before MS put it into the system. But this isn't the OP problem... He has Desktop folder with files and folders moved to OneDrive.

Which means that they backed up the desktop, photos and documents to One Drive in the One Drive app. Not that hard to solve and fix. I was messing with it yesterday and figured it out without posting how to fix and just took my time figuring out what went on. This was of course after I backed up the drive with Minitool Shadow Maker.
