    Why did you set a BIOS password to begin with? Sounds like it might be time for a new motherboard now.

    He wouldn't be able to boot Windows 10 if he can't get past the initial BIOS password.

    There is two passwords that can be set and the supervisor password controls access to the BIOS Setup program.

    Clear the CMOS settings on the motherboard by removing the Jumper, waiting a few minutes, and replacing it. It will reset to defaults with no Password, you will have to reset the time etc. https://support.hp.com/us-en/documen...01_title_r0001

    Does you PC have PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports? If so, have you tried a PS/2 keyboard (round end)?

    I just noticed on the BIOS login screen in the lower right had corner, the date changed from 2011 to 2005.
    I did not do any updates or changes to the desktop. The date changed by it self.
