end of life cycle for windows 10 in 2025

I read a article that main stream for support for windows 10 will end 10/13/2020 and extended support will end October 2025. So no more new features forced updates to break windows after oct 2020 and after 2025 there will be no more security updates and fixes, nothing just like all the operating system went. it is in windows life cycle sheet at Microsoft . aslo said if hardware no up to date win will not install

what are your view about this. don't tell me I don't want to get new hardware again. just getting rid of win 7 and going to windows 10 in a expensive new pc.

It's actually December 8, 2020 for 1903.

Every Windows version has an 18 month life cycle in mainstream support. So yes, 1903 ends in 2020. With 1909 about to be released in Oct/Nov the end of mainstream support for that should be April 2021. Then when 20H1 (currently with the Insiders) gets released in April/May 2020 that will be supported until Oct/Nov 2021.

Have you actually read it? It also says the Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 will be in support until January 9, 2029

it is different for windows 10 and windows pro. that what I read. when I try copy I thread it will not copy to this post it is in znet the inquirer. windows 10 home and pro will be gone 0ct 2025 that what I read

Took a bit of searching, but I finally found one of the @martyr's articles. It was actually published on July 17, 2015, before the launch of Windows 10.

As can be seen from the lifecycle fact sheet, that extended support now goes out to January 9, 2029, and that extension with each new LTSC release shows no signs of stopping any time soon.

I remember reading that article and noted the ending for sure.
When I was in the working world umpteen years ago, I had to learn how to use a computer OTJ w/o any training:
--- What that amounted to is I became so used to changes I adjusted accordingly.
--- Microsoft as well as other OS entities do what they do.
