    Will restarting the computer a lot (about 8 times ) damage the laptop?


    Will restarting the computer a lot (about 8 times in succession) damage the laptop?

    I am just restarting the laptop normally from the sign-in screen buttons. Would that damage the laptop or just add wear and tear on the parts inside?

    Hi, you have a SSD, so you will have no moving parts issues. Just a lot of CPU processing and disk activity.

    There are no moving parts other than if it has a platter drive but those are made to take that kind of wear these days. The only thing that may happen would be the OS develop a error condition from repeat boots over and over in succession not over a ling period.

    Why would you need to?

    A full power off and power back on sequence will increase wear on mechanical hard drives. Full power on restarts should not affect anything, though.

    And don't forget there may be a cooling fan in the Notebook, most do.

    To open Windows Recovery Environment (RE) three power ons are done.
