Creating Separate Folder

Hello i just wanna ask a small help. i just need to make a backup everyday automatically and created separate folders with the date so it wont overwrite the previous backup.

ex. 09292019 -backup file 1
09302019 - backup file 2
10012019 - backup file 3

above example are the same file but it has a different file size since it was overwriten by the system everyday.

my question is...is it possible or there is a software that can create folders that put filename with today's date and create separately in each folders and copy the files? so i wont create folder and make a copy manually everyday. All i want is install the software and create a task and it will run automatically.

There are numerous backup application some free some not. Aomei has a Sync option which may be useful for simple backups like yours

You could also set up a system task to perform a scheduled task at a set time check our tutorial section for how to's

One thing when setting up files - 20190929 for todays date (UK Format) is better than 29092013 as it automatically sorts in the correct order

yyyy-mm-dd is actually not a UK-specific format, its the international ISO 8601 standard. And yes, it's great for sorting by date.

If you are familiar with using the command line then you could write a .bat batch file to create a folder with today's date as its name and to copy your files into it. This could be run manually or scheduled to run automatically with Task Scheduler.
