problem with "This Pc Folders"

hello
i am using win 10 1903. but i have a problem with "This PC Folders":

for examble i changed target of my user Downloads folder from "C:\users\myusername\Downloads" to "D:\!Downloads" (Imgur: The magic of the Internet) but when i open "!Downloads" from This PC , the path isnt "D:\!Downloads". the path only is "!Downloads"(Imgur: The magic of the Internet) .
These two folders have different view settings but have same file(if i change veiw settings of one, it will not affect the other.if i copy a file to one that file also copied to another). This is my problem and i have the same problem with all "This PC folders".
can i make "this pc folders" to show right path not short path?

Anything above This PC such as Quick Access and Libraries are actually shortcuts to Folder in C:\Users\MYNAMEHERE. Where possible programs such as the browsers are set to use D:\~Downloads but where not possible they still use the default location, not a big problem but there are not the same entries in both Folders, don't get duplicated unless I want.

but it is a big problem for me. because i changed all user folder targets to another local drive(D:\!Downloads). and all my shortcuts and customized icons are in "!Downloads".all my documents and pictures and musics and videos are in "!Downloads". my games save its files in D:!Downloads\Documens. my whole life is in the"!Download" LOL

I think the way you describe is the way it should be. If you will right click he folder, select properties and then the Location tab you will find they are correct and both the same. As Berton described, This PC is just a link to the actual folder no matter where you move it.

This is different than what you originally describe. If you need to "untangel" the targets of your user folders, you need to look in the registry at:

Code:

HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Post a screenshot of yours if you need help.

Because view settings are indexed by the namespace path, Desktop\This PC\Downloads and Desktop\This PC\D:\Downloads views are independant of each other even though both refence the same file system folder.

I just want to open the correct path(D:\Downloads) when i click "!Downloads" in This PC, Not short path (!Downloads).as i said i have same problem with other pinned folders in navigation pane.

That's an odd hierarchy, having the other user folders as children of Downloads. Is that intentional?

You could add registry entries to customize the display names of thte folders --- and making the display name the fully-qualified name of the folder. Here, I've done it with Documents:

thanks . but still same problem. these two folders have different view settings.also the paths are a bit different too

No it is not. For any user folder, you are not shown the path in the File explorer address bar until you click in a blank area of the address bar. Do that and you will see the path displayed correctly
