Booting to black screen + blinking caret -- can't repair

I couldn't find any mentions of installing the support software from macOS or from outside Windows in the thread you linked. Did I miss it?

The links you mentioned didn't give any indication to me that it is even possible to install the support software from outside Windows, let alone instructions on how to do it.

The Apple article says I should start explorer inside Windows. The two forum threads discuss partition tables and resizing operations, and bootrec command that I've already run.

None of them explained in what way this has anything to do with macOS.

Story, I don't see how they relate to your mentions of installing the support software from the bootcamp assistant / to a non booting Windows.

I would welcome any specific thread or guide that says it's possible and demonstrates how to do it.

If there are no more suggestions on repair procedures that are actually possible to perform, then I want to thank everyone for their suggestions as I write the installation off as unsalvageable. Thanks!
