    KB shortcut for folder views?

My searching so far hasn't found one, but does anyone know of hotkeys (or any quick keystroke sequence) that will arrange an already open browse window (Open, Save As, etc) in a particular view (List, Detail, etc)?

Hi, does CTRL+SHIFT+1,2,3,4.. work for you?

Note that not all open/save windows are 'standard'. They may look familiar but be particular to a specific program.

Keyboard Shortcuts To Change File Explorer View In Windows 10

    Google search string:
keyboard shortcut to change explorer view

-and there is at least one thread here mentioning this.

    @dalchina,

Thanks. For folders here it's Ctrl + Alt + 1,2,3,4,5,6 that works for me. Not Ctrl + Shift +

That's handy and something I didn't know, thank you. But of course it's browse window shortcuts that I'm looking for. Not very optimistic, especially because of the inconsistency you mention.

I reckon my subject header should have made that explicit, sorry.

    In addition:

Change Folder View Layout in Windows 10

They work in the File Explorer browse type windows as well.

Both CTRL SHIFT and CTLR ALT work for me in file explorer.

But of course it's browse window shortcuts that I'm looking for. Not very optimistic, especially because of the inconsistency you mention.
    Random example:
Textmaker (approx equiv. to MS Word).

    File, Open

In the Open dialogue, CTRL + ALT + 1,2,3... works, but not CTRL + SHIFT.

Also its background isn't coloured, as are all the ones on my PC related to file explorer, so I guess it's a custom one in some way, particular to that Office suite.

Whereas 7-zip's window responds to CTRL + SHIFT 1,2,3..in this way, but CTRL + ALT 1,2,3 do something different.

Thanks Brink. That's worked with maybe 50% of the apps I've tried in Open dialogs, so it's going to be handy. Here it's Ctrl+Alt. Can't get results with Ctrl+Shift.

Thanks both, appreciate the fast responses.
