File folder search function no longer works

As I was looking for files it suddenly stopped being able to find files.
I have attached a few screenshots to show how it does not find anything; for example "OV" or with ".pdf".
I have tried every of the following suggestions from the following website:

    Welcome to tenforums.

I understand you have done everything in that linked document including an in-place upgrade repair install (which would have required downloading an iso file of the same build, or equivalent).

Please post a sreenshot similar to this showing that that folder is included in the index and indexing is complete.

Now please add one file to that folder that should be indexed, and post a screenshot showing the number of indexed items has incremented.

This will show whether search indexing is active.

Now try searching for that file and post a screenshot showing the result, including the search string used.

The icons are unfamiliar to me- a cloud superimposed- could you explain what those are? Suggests you may be looking at folders via a cloud storage service.

Further, I think your search string should be *VO
    Example:
File folder search function no longer works-snap-2019-09-17-14.07.06.png

    Thanks.

I did not really understand what I should do here. I have MANY folders so not sure where to add which one.

    Yes they are using: Box

Thank you very much for your reply.

Open file explorer at a folder that is indexed.
Watching Indexing Options add a file to that folder. - using file explorer.
    Check the count increments.

    index number went down

I put the file from my personal drive--> documents saved on my own laptop. and moved them into the Box. by adding the number indexed actually went down.
So the index only shows items on my own laptop?

I suggest you remove your cloud drive from the equation until it's clear indexing is working on your internal drive. Were you trying to use Windows search indexing to find things only in cloud storage? Items indexed should be as per your Indexing Options. I've certainly never tried using it to index something in cloud storage. Unless that appears as a drive letter you wont be able to specify it in Indexed locations.

Note this discussion about indexing Onedrive as an example:
OneDrive indexing for WIndows Search – Feature Suggestions for Microsoft OneDrive
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...3-88984b798fce

But here Dropbox is reported as being indexed:
OneDrive Personal does not show up in Indexing Options after moving to C:/OneDrive in Windows 10 - Super User

Does that mean searching indexed locations on your internal drive works?

    Otherwise:
Please check search indexing is working as per post #4.
Then try open explorer at an indexed folder and try searching for a file on your disk.
