Is Windows-10 is preventing we from using Windows-7 on my PC?

W7 Installation Diskette REFUSES to recognise W7 Disk Drive.

I normally run Windows-7 Pro on my HP8300 PC using a 4TB GPT formatted disk drive.
    It worked great.
    I un-cabled the drive.
I then cabled a 160GB MBR formatted disk drive.
I installed Windows-10 on the 160GB MBR formatted disk drive.
    It also worked great.
I then un-cabled the Windows-10 disk drive and re-cabled the Windows-7 Pro disk drive.
    Windows-7 Pro would not boot!
I used my Windows-7 Pro Installed Diskette to attempt to repair the Windows-7 Pro disk drive.
My Windows-7 Pro Diskette 'claims' the Diskette cannot repair the disk drive that is cabled because it is a different version of Windows?
Is there some way that Windows-10 'takes over' a PC and prevents it being used for anything else?

Windows 10 has nothing to do with the hardware/firmware accessing the hard drive.

Which PC do you have, you weren't specific:

HP Compaq Elite 8300 Convertible Minitower PC
HP Compaq Elite 8300 Microtower PC
HP Compaq Elite 8300 Small Form Factor PC
HP Compaq Elite 8300 Ultra-slim PC
HP Compaq Elite 8300 All-in-One Desktop PC

Since you say the Win 7 HDD is GPT then the firmware must be UEFI rather then BIOS. Try going into Setup and loading defaults, see if that makes a difference. If not, power down, remove the power cord, remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard, press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds. Put the CMOS battery back in, plug in the power cord, power up.

You should get a message about UEFI, press F1 to continue, F2 to enter setup. Press F2.
    Load defaults.
    Set date and time.
    Save and Exit.

See if that makes a difference.

    Same as above

Is Windows-10 is preventing we from using Windows-7 on my PC?-img_20190915_201340.jpgNo, my misstatement.

I meant the original install CD.

    Yikes, that brings back memories!

    - - - Updated - - -

    Ztrucker,

I did as your instructions directed but achieved the same result.

I am attaching a poor photo of the Message regarding the Version conflict.FYI.

As luck would have it, I had an additional twin of the 8300 in question.

    Good news and Bad news.

BAD - The twin has an intermittent BSOD event that I was never able to identify or fix.
GOOD - My Windows-7 Pro drive booted and my Heart Attack is now postponed.

I will continue to use the twin as long as possible.
If you will, I would like to continue trouble shooting the original 8300 tomorrow.

If necessary, I suppose I could try and remove the W7 Pro Disk from the twin and try it in the original, if that makes any sense?

How would you request I proceed from here?

Original - No drives installed, your instructions fully executed.
Twin - W7 Pro drive installed, your instructions fully executed, a new Battery installed.

What does your firmware setup look like, especially the boot section. Is secure boot on or off? It should be off.
    Is it in Legacy/CSM mode?

Is the drive now installed also GPT?
