Right-click menu doesn't come up for taskbar icons ... ???

Seems like in Windows 10 with the latest cumulative updates (as of 9/14/19 yesterday), I can't right-click on my taskbar icons and have the right-click menu come up (the one that allows for the pinning or unpinning of icons). I uninstalled the updates, and this functionality has been restored once again. The problem originally appeared with the earlier cumulative update that caused the CPU spikes. It persisted after I installed the cumulative updates that were available via Windows Update as of yesterday (9/14/19). Again, I have uninstalled the updates, and everything is OK again. I have paused my updates until next month, and also reported the bug to Microsoft via their Feedback Hub. Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Seems like this is yet another bug. Thanks.

P.S.: All these update issues associated with Windows 10 have me thinking about switching to Mac ...

Catalina is having issues because of the major changes. The majority of issues with W10, is changes that people make, the choice of hardware and third party software. I have yet to see any problems with the install that I have on my desktop.

You do not want to move to another OS platform unless you are ready to take the plunge and learn that platform.

I have marked this as "solved." I fixed the problem by:

    1) Downloading the latest Media Creation Tool.

    2) Downloading the latest ISO via Media Creation Tool.

    3) Burning the ISO to a DVD rewritable disc.

    4) Doing an in-place repair installation of Windows 10.

After the installation was finished, I tried right-clicking the taskbar icons. The right-click menu showed up as it was supposed to. (Incidentally speaking, the CPU spikes also still weren't present, which was good to see.) Seems like Microsoft needs to work on their updating game. Hope this helps other folks. Thanks.
