Night Light doesn't automatically turn off in the morning

I have a Inspiron 5521 running the may19 update. Win10 is update to date in all aspects. when I open it up in the morning, the Night Light schedule seems to be ignored, and I have to manually turn it off every morning. I suspect it has something to do with coming out of Sleep, but I'd love some guidance.

I have tried the methods posted here, but no result.

    Please advise a solution.

Hi, there are several useful tips and links and registry details in the comments following this:
Turn On or Off Night Light in Windows 10

Please note what you've tried and post back.

Also try a test- set a very short schedule to run while you're logged on and see if that works.

    Thanks.

Methods 1 to 4 shows various ways to on and off night light. In my case it doesn't turn off automatically after resuming from sleep.
Disabled fast start option, but no results.

    Hi,

Tried out the methods in comments sections but problem still exists. Here, is what i have noticed.

    SCENARIO 1.

Night light set ON time 2100 HRS and OFF at 2115 HRS.

1.if the computer is ON @ 2115 HRS night light turns off automatically. (correct)
    2. If the computer is shutdown @2110 HRS and switched ON @ 2120 HRS. Night light is off at login. (correct)
    2. if the computer was put to sleep @ 2110 HRS and resumed @ 2120 HRS, night light does not turn off. (incorrect).

Basically night light dosen't work properly after a sleep or hibernate happens.

I had this problem after august 30 cumulative update and find a solution. The registry keys to delete in one solution that you have tried, are wrong. Try this:

    Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\CloudStore\Store\DefaultAccount\Cloud

Delete the first two folders under cloud folder named:

    default$windows.data.bluelightreduction.bluelightreductionstate

    and

    default$windows.data.bluelightreduction.settings

And delete the same two folder in this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\CloudStore\Store\DefaultAccount\Current

Restart and config night light. It worked to me.

    Hi,

After doing this, Night light feature is totally not working. It neither turns on as per schedule nor it turns off automatically.

OMG!! now is a worse situation....

Works for me and works where I have find the solution. Try to re-config nigh light schedule a couple of times to create de registry keys again. Although there is a microsoft recogniced bug with night light and window 10 1903, perhaps you suffer this bug.

There were stages in that saga where some found disabling fast boot in BIOS or fast startup helped.
Seems a bit drastic for a GUI feature free 3rd party tools like f.lux and Redshift have provided for a long time, and sad MS made a meal of it.

    Discussion around April:
Night light fast startup bug windows 10 version 1903 build 18362.53

No updates since these have mentioned it:
    Cumulative Update KB4501375 Windows 10 v1903 build 18362.207 - June 27
    Cumulative Update KB4497935 Windows 10 v1903 build 18362.145 - May 29
