Icons and thumbnails blank + right click -> Properties doesn't work
Today I installed the latest updates:
and it seems that those updates messed up Windows Explorer. After I restarted my PC, all icons and thumbnails in Windows Explorer disappeared i.e. I've got blank icons within Windows Explorer and those "app icons" in the taskbar.
The icons in the Start Menu and System Tray are fine:
Also, when I right click on any file/folder and click "Properties", nothing happens i.e. I don't get the Properties window.
I tried sfc and dism (normal boot, safe boot (Alternate shell, No GUI), also with image downloaded via Media Creation Tool -> How to use DISM command tool to repair Windows 10 image | Windows Central). They both found corrupt files but couldn't fix them. Logs:

I also tried this:
and I also looked at the following locations within my registry: (Windows 7 Help Forums)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
but all keys seem to be there.
Other than that Windows works normally i.e. all apps work.

I've ran out of patience so I did a "repair installation" and that solved it.
How To Reinstall Windows 10
I used the .iso that I downloaded with the Media Creation Tool (used for dism - see above).
