Press the Windows key and the R key at the same time.
Type winver and press the Enter key.

You will see a window similar to the following:



That will tell you which Windows 10 you have, home or pro as well as the build and version numbers. Post that info here for us.

You can also go to microsoft.com in your browser (IE or Firefox or Edge or Chrome ...). You can try to sign in there with your Microsoft account. If you forgot your password follow these directions to reset it:

True, can't do the winver part, but he can do Option Three: To Reset Password of your Microsoft Account Online at Microsoft
