Two status bars in file explorer, want to hide one of them?

    Hello everyone
For some reason I have two status bars (i think that's what its called) on file in Windows 10 home edition on my laptop :/
I know how to hide the top one, but the white one on the bottom wont go away no matter what I do
I would like to get rid of the bottom one because its pretty redundant for one
but also it doesn't match the rest of the theme
    please, what should I do?
    thank you for reading this

Are you using a Start Menu replacement, Classic Shell, Open Shell, Start10, etc?

The top status bar is the normal one, the bottom one is from something other than the standard File Explorer.

Could be the Status bar of Classic Shell explorer.

    You can, for example...
    - install the program without classic shell explorer (e.g. just the start menu)
    - choose not to show that status bar (option)
    - choose not to show file explorer's status bar (option)

You are aware the Classic Shell is no longer being supported.....for almost 2 years now. I'd start looking at Start 10.
It does have a 30 day free trial.

More correctly, Open Shell has superceded Classic Shell, although a number have commented CS still works.

Open Shell works fine (as does Classic Shell actually as dalchina said).

I prefer Start10, maybe because I paid $4.95 for it and I'm going to get my monies worth (been using it since the first Win 10 pre-aplha).
