    I think he is referring to this tutorial by Kari Move Users Folder Location in Windows 10
    When I get my new laptop I've decided it will be best to have a SSD and HDD.

    As I'm no computer expert, it will be a worry that I might make a slight mistake when moving 'Users Folder' to the HDD (I guess this is the best way to do this instead of the way shown in the Youtube video I posted?) and messing up my brand new expensive laptop!

    This is a good choice. Or even replacing HDD with another SSD (2.5) and get one with M.2 (PCIe) for system. Again, SSds for laptops in M.2 format are almost standard these days.

    For moving User folders, I prefer moving Documents, Music and Downloads anly (or Video if you have lot of them, too) in simple way, one by one)

    PassMark - Intel Core i5-3210M @ 2.50GHz - Price performance comparison

    Pretty puny by current standards; dual core introduced nearly 8 years ago.

    CPU Mark Relative to Top 10 Common Laptop CPUs

    As of 13th of September 2019 - Higher results represent better performance

    The Intel 8365U score is 8473; single thread rating 2304;

    That is probably the only 3 folders I will need to move aswell.

    I can always move 'Video' at a later date.

    Interesting reading. So a current top i5 will be close to double the power I have now.

    You can't install a new CPU on your old laptop.
    Your CPU (i5 3210M) is a Ivy Bridge (2012) 3rd gen with 3rd gen chipset.
    New CPU's require to have compatible chipsets.

    I wasn't thinking of doing that.

    You'll get about 20% in CPU power if you go with i7-3540. And spend probably 200 to 300$, if you get the right processor.

    Don't think it is worth spending money on dead end technology ... New laptops have faster memory, M.2 slots for SSds, are lighter.. depends on what you need

    I have recently seen Dell Vostro with 256 GB SSD, 8 GB of RAM and i5-8265U processor (4 cores, 8 threads..) for 400€.
