    Desktop INI and Autorun

So... I have multiple external hdds. I have autoruns on them to generate Labels and Icons. That is working properly. I have multiple sub folders on those hdds. I need 2 different types of Desktop INIs that I cannot seem to get working.

    **NOT Working**
I need the parent on each of these hdds to:
    - show large icon (or just icon) view

    *Working*
I need subfolders within the parent to:
    - assign icon
    - show icon view

    **NOT Working**
I need subfolders within the subfolders to:
    - show list view

Thanks but as stated, my icon(s) situation is already functioning as it should. Different content in my Desktop.ini files, but correct results. What I need is for the 3rd Tier of folder (parent > sub > sub) to be displayed in lists under view options instead of inheriting the large icon layout from the parent folders.

I'm not understanding exactly what you're trying to reach.

    I see.

Okay I saw your image before you updated it, and I was still wondering what you meant.
Yet now I noticed that you have updated the picture. So what you want is the Sub 2 folder to show items as details. So thanks for the clarification for that.

Honestly, I don't know of a way to do that inside the Desktop.ini file. The only way I know is that you set it up using the:
Right Click > View > Details method. You would use this method manually for the folders you want to do that with. I also have an app that backs up all the folder view settings from the Registry, because sometimes the folder view settings all get messed up by random times. I have no clue why.

But I searched online for you and found this: Desktop.ini Documentation - PeatSoft
It shows commands you can set up in Desktop.ini files. Maybe you can look around on that site. I haven't read through all the commands, but hopefully there's something you're looking for.

And if anyone else can help input more information to help this user achieve what he wants, then please post your comment or whatnot. =)
