How to clean files in C:\Windows\servicing\LCU

Curious, why delete these? They don't take up a lot of room, are not causing any harm. Why not just leave them alone.

I have two folders under LCU:

Package_for_RollupFix~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~18362.476.1.8 11/13/2019 AM 678MB
Package_for_RollupFix~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~18362.535.1.6 12/11/2019 PM 683MB

My C: drive has 730GB free of 970GB so I see no reason to delete these.

No real need. Those are small compared to most which are 1.5GB+. Could be an issue if the user is space constrained. And some just like to be as clean as possible, a personal housecleaning thing. Either way is fine, though.

How do you safely clean this folder which is probably no longer needed?

If no one mentioned it... this command cleans the LCU folder of all but the last update's folder...

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

You won't have it on a clean install (of any build). The LCU folder is only created when you get you first cumulative update.
