Cannot enter BIOS and/or boot menu

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone can help me with a little situation that I'm having...

So I want to do a complete fresh install of Windows 10, but I'm having major difficulties.

I have used the Windows Media Creation Tool to make my bootable Windows 10 USB but I can't access any form of boot menu.

When my PC starts, it loads straight to the welcome screen. It used to show the ASUS logo screen with the 'press F2' etc. but I've only just now noticed that it's not showing any more. I don't even know how long it's been like that!

I've tried pressing Esc, all of the F keys (including F8 for Windows boot) and the delete key but all that happens when I press them is my screen stays black and Windows just does load and I have to turn off the machine.

I also cannot enter UEFI in advanced start up because for some reason I just don't have the option. I also don't have the boot from device option in advance start up either.

Fast start up is also disabled.

I have no idea how I can enter the BIOS or boot from the USB

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just to confirm, are you sure you are starting from a true cold boot? Could you be hibernating? Sleep?

Try disabling hibernation. Check the function assigned to your Power button.

Then try shutting down from a menu option, and disconnecting and reconnecting power and rebooting.

I had a look at the manual, but pressing the escape and F keys don't work and just crash my machine...

I have disabled hibernation/sleep and disconnected the power cord, but this doesn't work

Hi dalchina!

Sorry it's taken so long to get back...hectic weekend!

So I tried this, but then my PC wouldn't boot at all...

I was removing hardware one at a time to see if anything was causing the issue and I unplugged the DVI cable for my second screen, the PC booted up and I was able to enter the BIOS...

It all seems very strange, however the issue is now resolved, so thank you for your help!
