I think 10 overall is fine, less buggy, and runs better on some PC's then 7. However, I think that MS constantly does changes for the sake of change, not for improving things. For instance, making it harder to change default apps, or splitting and hiding the way to control what shows up in the notification bar. Or rearranging the START menus every time you have a 'service pack' or so. Stupid, confusing, not needed. I also know that while they get outsiders to beta test, they don't test changes nearly enough, both bug and security fixes and 'improvements'. And the way they force you to take very buggy updates is beyond insane; but 7 and 8 now do the same.
