Problem Navigating The Bios

I have an Aspire Aspire ES-575 running Windows 10. I recently had a crash and in trying to get it back on its feet I ran the Insyde20 Setup Utility. I eventually got it back up using system restore, but in the chaos, I discovered the bios was locked up, in that I could see all the settings, and scroll across the top menu but could not navigate to any of them.
I tried flashing the bios to the latest version, but this didn't have any effect on my problem. My bios is set to boot off the hard drive and I would like to change that so if it locks up again, I can boot it from USB.

I believe that something got changed in the registry that caused this. I ran a "Registry Clean" from Glary Utilities which caused the computer not to boot initially.

If you have access to Reliability History,does it give any results?

I don't know what " Reliability History" is. I thought that Windows 10 was independent of the Registry since I didn't mention the Registry Clean in my initial post. That means that running that Insyde20 Setup Utility when it was crashed caused the problem. Since this is a laptop, getting into it and resetting a jumper to clear the Bios would be a daunting task for me. At this point taking it to someone who is comfortable doing this appears to be my only option.

Unlikely, when you hit F2 to enter the bios it is before the HDD has been accessed. In fact, you could remove the HDD and still be able to enter the bios.

If so, then you used the left/right arrows to move across the top menu. You don't actually enter each page, rather you use the up/down arrows to move the white highlight to the item you want, in this case I have highlighted the '2. USB HDD :'. Then the F6 key will move it up the list.

That's just the problem. I can't move around the bios once I get in it. The up/down arrows don't work to remove the HDD password or change any setting. The boot order is the one I wish to change in case of another crash, I can boot off a USB. I am not totally inept with computers, just limited...:)

You have an HDD password set in the bios? Are any other passwords set?
