Command / powershell -- split windows possible ?

    Hi folks

I was wondering if its possible to to split the power shell or command line into multiple windows / tabs.

Here's an example of what I'd like to do --here's a Linux terminal running in split mode :

I wholeheartedly recommend using Windows Terminal. Even it still is a preview version, it is pretty powerful tool. Download from Microsoft Store:

    Download

I have used it exclusively since mid-June when it was released, completely replacing both PowerShell and Command Prompt. In screenshot I have tabs open for PowerShell, Command Prompt, WSL Ubuntu and WSL SUSE Linux:

    "Sets" would have been nice!

(Can't, for the life of me, figure out why MS ditched that project!!!)

    Hi there
    thanks

I'm fine with using it -- much better -- not sure why it hasn't replace the "standard" cmd window !!!

I find if there's a standard Windows thing to do a job -- with a few exceptions like Macrium for system image backup and a few things like g(rsync) and dd on a linux system for data (note not system imaging where macrium works perfectly for me) then in general it's best to use those tools.

I'm not at all anti 3rd party developer stuff at all but they have to bring "quality" or sensible extended functionality (better still BOTH !!) to the table -- so developers don't give up just yet please !!!!.

    Cheers
