    Command Prompt Scrolling Problem

I just noticed on a new HP laptop that I can't scroll back many lines. See below - the command powercfg /query generates many lines but the scroll bar on the right doesn't let me go back very far. Any ideas?

PS - I fixed it by setting a much larger buffer size. It was only set to 50 by default.

First thing I would look at:

right-click on the top bar >> Properties >> Terminal and make sure under Terminal Scrolling that the box is unchecked for Disable Scroll-Forward.

    Alternatively, maybe try this:

right-click on bar >> Properties >> Layout >> Screen Buffer Size and change Height to 2500 then click OK.

    Hope this helps.
