Microsoft Privacy logging activity history despite the setting disable

Prior to mid-July, only Microsoft Office and OneDrive (and limited MS things) would show up in Activity History

Today, I randomly decided to login, but I noticed non-Microsoft stuff in here, which is really confusing to me (as I have disabled this nonsense...).

It seems to just be Assassin's Creed Odyssey and The Sims 4 showing up (and Microsoft Office stuff, but nothing else). (I have booted up other Ubisoft Uplay games since mid-July, but those don't show up in here)

    How do I fix this?

    Hello,

You might see if you may be able to clear your activity history using option 2 in the tutorial below with the online Microsoft Privacy Dashboard.

I did that, but how I prevent it from getting up there in the first place?

You have activity history disabled in Windows 10, so it appears those other apps using your Microsoft account is still keeping track of your activity history somehow.

You can also disable Timeline if not already to no longer see it on this computer. It won't stop anything still collecting your activity history, and being able to see it online in the Microsoft Privacy Dashboard.

My Ubisoft and Origin accounts aren't linked to my Microsoft account though (and other Ubisoft games didn't get logged, just AC Odyssey). This is really weird...

Keep an eye on your Microsoft Privacy Dashboard to see the device and source of this activity history to see if it may help ID what could be collecting it since you're not signed in the games with your Microsoft account.

While, I have three computers, I only actually use one. I haven't booted the other two machines in months, so the device source is not of any doubt.

I went ahead and disable activity feed at the group policy level. (A few months before, I had to use group policy to disable the laptop from sending activity history to Microsoft to get it to actually kick in...)

I noticed Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser keeps running on my new laptop despite disabling feedback. I disabled the task for Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser at Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows > Application Experience.

Privacy center updated for Thursday and Friday (Aug 22 and 23). I have played the Sims 4 both days, but it only shows up on Thursday (when I disabled the activity feed in group policy).

I played it yesterday and today, so in a couple days, I will check if it shows up for Aug 24/25.

I just checked again. The 23rd updated. The Sims 4 is back on it...
