Please see my Post #4 above. Just set it and forget it. Weekly is fine.

Which merely shuts down the Defrag/Trim at startup. Saves a whole 5 seconds of startup time.
    Less than that!

but I just run my huge customized reg files to finish setup.

    Best :)

Just wondering what your customized reg files do to customize a Win install. How do you create these reg files? Or is my approach (next paragraph) good, but I'm just doing something wrong?

I've often thought it should be "easy" to build customized reg files for configuration, but turns out it is not. I had thought that i should first take a copy of the full registry as soon as possible in the new install process, and then do another copy after all my configs and setup. Not so easy in practice.
