Using the Windows 10 reset USB to repair a malfunctioning Windows 10

Last Monday, I left the house with my brand new Dell laptop turned on in the living room. When I returned everything seemed okay, but when I put in the pass word. the circle of dots just kept going round and round with nothing else happening. It did clear and show me the dessktop.

I realized when i looked at a clock (with no backup battery) that during the day when I was gone there had been a power outage. So apparently the the laptop just shut down with no shutdown command sent when the power.

That is not good. Anyway after trying several more times with putting in the pass word, I got nothing except the circle of dots going round and roud.

Now it will not even give me the password window. I get nothing when I press conrtl, alt, del.

I have a Windows 10 rescue disk, but I do not know what to do with it in this case.

    Please explain.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

    Lou Reed

When power went out, the laptop should have shutdown when the battery got to a specific % of charge left. That's normal operation on all laptops. If it didn't that's a problem with the Laptop. Return it to Dell for a replacement (contact them for a RMA).

Better to get this resolved with them now rather than mess with it for days or weeks then try to return it.
