AND NOW SOME DESKTOP THOUGHTS THAT NOBODY ASKED FOR
1. I have no idea why anyone would want their recycle bin visible morning, noon and night. Especially prominent and proud in the top left corner. Yuuuck. So I moved it to my start menu and it's almost never visible.
2. I also never keep app shortcuts on the desktop. With the taskbar and the start menu -- don't we all have plenty of room to leave apps readily handy and such?
3. I saw someone (maybe here) insist that if Windows 10 didn't support AutoHideDesktopIcons then they wouldn't upgrade. Now I know why. This is what I'm looking at right now --
There's at least 40 items on my desktop. But you can't see them, can you? Neither can I. It's sooo nice. If I need them I just click anywhere on the desktop. After 12 seconds they'll again hide away.

4. Having been a mostly Mac person my life I needed hot corners. It's just a thing. Top left corner activates task view. Bottom right removes all windows for easy desktop viewing. Free here --
