[SOLVED]Desktop icons and files are missing, unable to create shortcut

Hi everyone. I am having a problem after virus infecting (actually it happened few months ago). After removing the virus, my desktop icons and files on desktop are not shown, while they are still in Desktop folder. Also, I can't create new shortcut. So how can I fix it? Thank you.

To determine whether this is damage to Windows or a setting or problem in your user profile, please create a new user for test purposes, log in as that user, and report as ot whether you have the same problem.

Whilst it's now too late, have you discovered the value of using disk imaging routinely?
So often recommended here, consider that if you had had a recent disk image available when you were infected by the virus, simply restoring the image (pre virus) you could have almost certainly eliminated it.

Then your problem would have been fixed relatively quickly and painlessly, and you would not have had this problem all this time and be needing help.

Works even if your PC is unbootable or your disk fails. E.g. Macrium reflect (free) + external storage for image files.

Make sure the current configuration of your system is in default profile without altering anything.
The option that is activated from the context menu must be disabled.

See, show icons on the desktop.

You video doesn't show what options are available when you right-click on the Desktop. Post a screenshot of that context menu.

This is the most surprising thing I ever seen, too easy for a solution.
Thank you, hope this post is not useless and silly.
